It is a truism of human affairs that as government gains power, the people lose power.

- Says he isn't for bigger government but then claims that his "stimulus" will create 3,000,000 jobs and 90% of those in the private sector -- so we'll add 300,000 federal employees to the "not bigger" federal government...

- Lied to the American people about the amount of oil imported...
(make no mistake he said "we are importing more", not by ratio, but by volume). Oil imports are the lowest they've been in SIX YEARS.
Who is giving the President his statistics?

- Unleashes the grinning, hair-plugged, tooth-capped, buffoon on those who dare oppose his plans for Socialist Revolution smaller government...

- Told Congress they would have to give up some of their priorities because there is no money. Pelosi, sitting behind him, almost swallowed her false teeth. - Lied to American People when he said Congress passed a stimulus "free of earmarks".

- Identified $2 Trillion dollars in savings -- hmmmm, I wonder how much of that will be spending cuts against the same military that keeps us safe?

- Said the "check's in the mail" for tax cuts.

- Big talk on terrorism (soon after he said he would cut the military)....

- Praised our military members, soon after saying he would cut their budgets. Promised "our unyielding support" (except when it comes to spending).

- Promises to expand veteran's health care benefits. I am one of those veterans. I don't need you to give me better health care...I can get by with what I have and you can't by my compliance with your agenda.
Save that money and try NOT spending it, for a change -- that is, if Harry and Nancie will let you save it.

One Month of President Obama and all is ...well?

- Obama Officially Owns It - Obama can no longer blame a bad economy on Bush. He got what he wanted with the tax and spend stimulus. From this point forward Obama has all the tools he told us he'd need to fix it. Whether the market rises or falls is now on his back. Fifty percent of Americans believe the "stimulus" will make things worse LINK. If this bears out, look for changes in 2010.

- Obama's Economic Advisor Says Stimulus Won't Solve Our Problems - WTF Link? Then why did Obama seek to have it passed so badly? Didn't you think something smelled bad from the very beginning of this Kabuki Dance?

- Obama Adminstration's Lack of Transparency on Stimulus Causes Market Catastrophe: Remember all that talk about a new era of openness and government transparency? Apparently that campaign promise is the latest to fall.

- After One Month, The Cabinet is Still Not in Place: The Messiah, the Savior, the Most Adept and Holy One still hasn't formed his Presidential Cabinet. - Obama Claims to Desire More Fights on "Big Issues" - Obama doesn't seem to understand that the American people only voted for change, not a complete rewriting of our country - higher taxes, lower standard of living, limitless pork-barrel spending by da' gummint, and more long term debt for our children.

This Tortured Logic Cannot Stand

Last night, the President made two rhetorical blunders:

1. "Tax cuts don't work" (paraphrased)
-- Yeah, they do -- and have repeatedly. Where has Obama been since 1982? Does he really think to fool us into believing the economy is suffering from something other than speculative greed in the housing market? Our tax policy has kept our unemployment lower and our recessions shorter than the other Western democracies. You simply cannot deny fact. Maybe Barry should have been watching the news instead of smoking a little of the reefer in Hawaii...

and

2. He set a trap for himself when he stated, regarding the pork laden "stimulus" bill:

"It's a little hard for me to take criticism from folks about this recovery package after they presided over a doubling of the national debt. I'm not sure they have a lot of credibility when it comes to fiscal responsibility..."

So, let's take his statement as a given fact...in that case:

A. Is President Obama trying to justify his bad behavior (overspending Democrats) by pointing out previous bad behavior (overspending Republicans), and/or

B. Is the President pointing out that even the "fiscally irresponsible" see this bill as too much spending? What then does that make him?

Analysis:
A. Is rhetorically unsound
B. Shows he is even more irresponsible than those he condemns.

The curtain is slowly drawing open to reveal the real Great and Powerful Ob...

- Now that's Stimulus!!! Let's Add $50 million to the National Endowment for the Arts - Obama seems to think that your tax dollars will create jobs in the National Endowment for the Arts. You remember Serrano's Piss Christ, paid for by the NEA, don't you? Fifty mil should pay for a lot of jars full of piss. Now that's a stimulus we can trust to put Americans back to work! On the other hand, $252 BILLION of the stimulus (28%) goes to items that do not have any stimulative value at all - Medicaid, unemployment benefits, food stamps, and the Earned Income Tax Credit for people WHO PAY NO TAXES!!! Wake up people--- the Emperor has no clothes!!!

- More Withdrawn Obama Nominees: (and another that should) -Obama's Chief Performance Officer, Nancy Killefer, stepped down after it was discovered that -- wait for it...wait for it -- she failed to pay payroll taxes on a member of her household staff!!! I'm sure glad Obama's bringing a clearer set of ethics to government. William Lynn is another case...even HuffPo and TPM (link) are calling this a broken campaign promise.

1. Obama Spits on Military Families by issuing an Executive Order to delay the arraignment of Abu al-Nashiri, the alleged planner of the attack on USS Cole that killed 17 servicemembers. The then-commander of the USS Cole has publicly stated that he wishes Obama would have considered military families before staying the prosecution against the man who planned the attack.

2. Military Judge Spits Back -- Judge James Pohl, though a military judge, told Obama to go screw himself. Pohl said "...he found the government's arguments "unpersuasive" and that the case will go ahead because 'the public interest in a speedy trial will be harmed by the delay in the arraignment.'" So, on one hand Obama claims we should afford terrorists Constitutional rights; on the other hand the Messiah seeks to violate the Sixth Amendment.

3. George Soros Comes to Obama's Aid by broadcasting an advertisement asking whether you stand with Obama or with Rush Limbaugh. MoveOn.org creates the logical error of Faulty Dilemma with their question -- a question that is easily rephrased to ask...

Are you with Obama or are you against mortgaging your great-grandchildrens' future with a worthless slow-moving 819   826   900 Billion dollar spending bill run by a Tax Cheat?

4. Obama Backs ANOTHER Tax Cheat by nominating Tom Daschle for Secretary of Health and Human Services. The Double Whammy is that Daschle's wife is a lobbyist but now he's welcomed into the Obama "pristinely clean we hate lobbyists" Adminstration. Now we know why Democrats love to raise taxes...Democrats don't pay them. Fortunately for us, Daschle chickened out and withdrew his name.
