Item #2: How's Your Company Doing, Barry? Last month I wrote that the firing of Rick Wagoner at General Motors by Barack Obama activated the old adage "if you break it, you buy it".

Rick Wagoner had tried various tactics to save GM, even cutting his own salary in 2006 and 2007. Obama fired the General Manager, and so he "broke" the leadership of GM, leaving GM rudderless. Once Obama fired Wagoner, that made Obama the new GM of GM. Obama also realized this, and even stated the FEDERAL GUMMINT would guaranteed the warranty of GM cars. Now, Barry's Car Company is dropping Pontiac and 23,000 more Americans into unemployment. I think the new GM of GM needs to be let go too; just like the last one. (BTW, Was this part of that stimulus plan?)

Item #3: Incompetence (alt. title: Why Your President Should Create Private Sector Jobs Before you Trust Him/Her in the Public Sector):Remember that Stimulus Spending Plan that cost us $787 Billion Dollars?

How well do you think that's going? Well, I'll tell ya' -- the Congressional Budget Office estimated (on page 12 of THIS document) that IF the stimulus worked well, we would create 2.3 million more jobs than without a stimulus. We would also have our employment level at 143.9 million jobs by the end of 2009.

Little problem there...our employment fell to 140,887,000 in March and we are still hemorrhaging jobs.

In order to reach the 143.9 million jobs (signifying success for the Obama stimulus), we must stop losing jobs today and create about 375,000 jobs per month for the remaining eight months of this year.

If you've just spit your morning coffee all over your monitor, you are one of the intelligent Americans who probably didn't vote for this rookie. Unfortunately, you'll still have to pay for the $787 Billion.

Item #4: Canklesaurus Dyx Pisses Off EVERYONE: First it was the veterans...then it was the entire country of Canada...and Janet Napolitano can only ask "WHO'S NEXT!?!?!"

Janet Napolitano was my governor for several years. She used her unusually husky voice to bully the legislature into funding all of the programs SHE wanted. Imagine a cross between Joan Rivers and Chef from South Park saying "I don't care what it costs; I WANT ALL-DAY KINDERGARTEN!!!"

Did Janet ever apologize for her tirades and surly, un-ladylike behavior? Nope. Has she apologized for programming in the $1.6 Billion debt for 2009 and $3 Billion for 2010 -- all to fund her pet projects? Nope.

And so, it was quite gratifying to see Mr. Ms. Napolitano forced to apologize for her lack of professional demeanor. It was even better when I read THIS ARTICLE...I almost peed myself during the first paragraph. Try THIS ONE too.

Item #5: Semantics for Boobs: Speaking of Napolitano, she (and Obumble) recently insisted that the Global War on Terror is no longer a global war on terror. Instead, it is an "Overseas Contingency Operation".

This CHANGE was made to appease the leftards who simply think that terrorists are misunderstood and that we are evil for wanting to stop them from "expressing their disdain for evil America". Perhaps if we called waterboarding "sub-aqueous interrogatives" the libtards would be more accepting of that practice.

Item #6: Lib Eat Lib: I find it exceedingly funny when liberals attack each other during their own humanistic religious holidays. Earth Day is one such occasion. It seems that the Anointed Teleprompter Reader had the AUDACITY to fly his plane around on Earth Day burning 9,000 gallons of carbon-rich airplane fuel. Bad, baaad Barry. Uncle Goreacle won't be sending you a Kwanzaa gift this year.

Item #7: More Diplomatic FUBARs: Last week I spent much time on Chavez and not much on Castro. The new and improved American diplomacy was set to open up Cuba for more U.S. interchange. Once again, pro-democracy forces would go back into hiding while Obama deals with the Castro brothers.

Face-to-face, Raul Castro said he would be willing to talk with the U.S. on all subjects including human rights, freedom of the press and expression, and political prisoners.

Obama, feeling his proverbial oats, while leaving the Summit of the Americas, "called on Cuba to release political prisoners and reduce taxes on remittances from the U.S.".

Ahhh, a beautiful diplomatic victory for President Obama...

At least until Fidel heard about the meeting.

Fidel's take was that "Obama had no right to dare suggest that Cuba make even small concessions."

Wow, speaking of CHANGE WE CAN BELIEVE IN...the diplomatic climate CHANGES under Obama as often as the Hillary changes her grandma underpanties...her very large grandma underpanties. From victory to defeat in one day...brilliant.

Today, my former senator (Arlen Specter) returned to the Democrat Party from whence he came. Yes, that's right, Specter was a Democrat in 1965 when he realized he couldn't win an election for District Attorney unless he switched parties.

Now, seeing Pat Toomey slaughtering him in the polls for the 2010 senate race, he has switched again.

In 2004, the last year I was eligible to vote in Pennsylvania, I voted against Specter in the primary. Now you all know why...he was a self-serving clown for most of his political career and now he's a Democrat. Again.

Quite fitting.

Specter has always been a liberal RINO. The only thing that has really changed is the little letter after his name.

Obama has surrendered those movements to the dictators.

Obama also spit in the face of our greatest ally in South America --Columbia.
Venezuela has funded the FARC -- openly --against our allies in Columbia.

Item #3: Immigration under Obama -- This Says It All: LINK TO VIDEO.

Item#4: Setting the Moral Tone for Business: In March, Steven Rattner sat across from General Motors CEO Rick Wagoner at the Treasury Department and told him to give up his job at his private company because the government said so. Who is Rattner. Rattner is Obama's pick to fix the automobile industry and now he's being investigated for some hanky-panky with retirement funds.
Seems Mr. Rattner is also a major Democratic fund-raiser.
Now GM is losing the Pontiac brand and cutting 23,000 jobs. What do you expect when you hire shady characters like Daschle Geithner Sebelius Sims Rattner?

Item #5: What Do You Call A Man Who...champions abortion and arranges to give a speech in a Catholic university, but then makes them cover up the symbols for Jesus Christ? A hypocritical denier of Christ -- even an arrogant anti-Christ, perhaps?

Item #6: This Week in History, the Rookie Betrayed Those Who Keep Us Safe: A year from now, or perhaps five years from now, we will remember this week as the week President Obama betrayed and emasculated the CIA by releasing Top Secret documents. The techniques used by the CIA, (and I don't mean waterboarding) have been divulged to our enemies by the Rookie's administration.

Just as Bill Clinton and former Senator Robert Torricelli hamstrung the CIA in 1996 even after Al Qaeda had attacked Americans in 1992 and 1993, Obama has reincarnated the same failed policies of the past - a weakness similar to the Clinton years. If we are attacked again, this is the seminal moment you can point back to.

Item #7: Taxes are Due: every year it's interesting to see who walks the walk, not just talks the talk.

Obama talks about how he wants you to pay more taxes to "share with your neighbors".
The works of Arthur Brooks shows conservatives and red states donate more time and money to the poor. So, how much does Obama and Biden share with the poor compared to the last administration? I checked, and here's what I found:

Obama: Earned income: $2,736,107; donated to charity: $172,050

Biden: Earned income: $253,866; donated to charity: $1,885

2007

Bush: Earned income: $719,274; donated to charity: $165,660

Cheney: Earned income: $2,528,068; donated to charity: $166,547

What percentage of their income went to charity?

Bush 23%; Cheney 6.59%; Obama 6.29%; Biden .74%

Again we see who really cares for the poor. Even Dick Cheney gives more than the Messiah Obama.

While Democrats want you to give up YOUR money, they rarely give up theirs. They prefer to pay the government to go help those "dirty" people -- in that way, they never have to touch or smell them.

The Middle of the Road

I believe I've found the moderate response to our current debate on torture.

Obama is considering prosecuting members of the Bush administration for using torture against three Al Qaeda prisoners. This is the first time in American history that an administration may choose to seek to investigate a prior administration for a difference in political decisions.

Imagine if Eisenhower had wanted to prosecute Truman for using atomic bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
Or, maybe we should rewrite FDR's history, excoriating him for bombing civilians in several cities throughout Germany and in Tokyo...I mean, really, bombing civilians trumps torturing terrorists every day, doesn't it?

Seriously though, terrorists from Al Qaeda SHOULD be tortured; here are my thoughts:

- Al Qaeda violates the Geneva and Hague Conventions of War by wearing civilian clothing during combat actions (this violates the very first article of the very first chapter of the annex to the Hague Conventions of 1899)
- Al Qaeda hides weapons and munitions in protected areas such as schools, mosques, and hospitals.
- Al Qaeda intentionally targets civilians (violating the Fourth Geneva Convention - 1949)
- Al Qaeda strikes areas marked with a Red Cross, Red Crescent, or a Red Lion and Sun, violating Convention I of the Geneva Conventions of 1949.
- Al Qaeda already beheads captives, so torturing them now really doesn't change any of their behaviors.

Let's make a deal - if you violate the Geneva or Hague conventions, then those conventions no longer apply to protect you. We can call this the "Don't Be A Terroristic Jackass" modern convention of war, or alternatively, the "We Just Stopped Fighting With One Hand Behind our Backs" doctrine.

This convention/doctrine will permit all forms of physical and mental torture to be performed on anyone who chooses the terrorist actions stated above.

The moral of the story is - if you don't want to play by the rules, then don't expect us to.

Bush just implemented these rules a bit early (and saved lives in Los Angeles.)

That's an enormous amount of participation for a grassroots drive. And for each person who actually attended, how many wanted to but, for one reason or another, could not?
I'm still counting. These numbers only account for 369 387 904 cities so far.

How Many People Attended Tea Parties???

After a little research and much information at Free Republic I was able to find a fairly reliable count of the Tax Day Tea Party participation. I checked several of the levels of participation listed by Free Republic using public sources when available and found their information very accurate. I also found a few new locations not yet listed on their website. METHODOLOGY: The totals are provided in three ranges because the MSM will not report many of the cities that participated (as they are willing to do when liberals protest wars or the WTO -- probably because only one person was arrested at the Tea Parties.)
Some of these numbers are from people at the events that had to estimate attendance; some numbers are provided by sign-up sheets at the events; and, others are provided by the few real news outlets that aren't afraid to defy their Lord and Master Obama -- they counted heads themselves or quoted police estimates.

Item 2: Taking After His Predecessor: BHO hates Bill Clinton, but still wants to be Bill Clinton. That malady is most apparent in his need to lie to the American people. He lied throughout the campaign (as witnessed by his recent raising of taxes disproportionately on the poor).
Now, he is lying about his very obvious obeisance to the leader of the Holy Land - at least, the Holy Land for Muslims - King Abdullah. Let's compare his most recent greeting given to our greatest historical ally and his greeting to a monarch of a country in which women are second-class citizens and they still hold public executions.
Then, let's ask why Obama's administration lied about the bow. Two Questions: 1) Why lie? 2) Would he also do it under oath, just to be like Bill, or is lying to the American people as far as his imitation goes?


Item #3: How to Treat Pirates: Today President Obama addressed the Somali pirates who have taken an American ship captain hostage by ensuring them that America is NOT a Christian nation and so we have no beef with the pirates, who are Muslim. In fact, BHO promised to meet with the pirates, greet them with a low bow (signifying his deep respect for THE true religion), and immediately disarm the entire U.S. Navy to avert this "crisis". The pirates responded by saying they only wanted $100 bucks for motor boat gas and bag of Cheetos to let the captain go...seems they were just hungry and brought him along as a snack...but Cheetos are a greater delicacy in Somalia than are Americans (unless they are Army Rangers in Blackhawks). But, then he had the SEALs shoot three of the four teenagers (see below).

Item #4: Can a Brother Get an Ambassador? Time Magazine and others in the MSM are covering up the Obama Administration's inability to find an ambassador to the Vatican. They even published an article calling those who report this story as "liars".
So, on the one side we have the Catholic News Agency -- who actually knows people at the Vatican. And on the other we have Time Magazine -- who reside in America's zone of Liberal Retards -- people who think you spell "Holy See" using the third letter of the alphabet. The whole story is that Obama has "floated" potential ambassadors to the Vatican, who has "informally" rejected those names due to their stances on Life issues. Informal or Formal, you'd think that someone who wanted to "change the way the world views America" would refrain from shoving their opinions down others' throats....even if it is a relatively small morsel like Carolyn Kennedy (someone get her a hamburger). But it was Bush who was arrogant, right?

Item #5: Being a Leader Means not Being a Whiner: If you voluntarily put yourself up for a position, whether in the business or government sectors, remember this -- YOU ASKED FOR IT.
It's becoming tiresome for the Rookie to bitch and complain about what he "inherited". Didn't you know what the job entailed when you ran for the office, Dumbass? Where you really that OBTUSE that you were somehow surprised at the economy -- the economy for which you voted on TARP? As a professional in the military I learned several lessons on leadership -- the very first one was...

"When faced with adversity STFU and do something about it. You can lay blame only AFTER you proved YOU can fix it. If you can't fix it, you are no better than the guy who came before you."

And so, Mr President my advice to you is STFU and act without talking...could we HOPE for that kind of CHANGE?

Item #6: Left-Wingers Consider Hostage Rescue an Obama Victory: Did he turn back the threat of Iranian nukes? Nope. Did he thwart the launching of a North Korean missile? Nope. Did he give the military carte blanche to rescue Capt Richard Phillips from Somali pirates? Yep - which means he finally did something right - he let the pros outside of his administration handle a problem. Funny, but that's the only thing that's been done right.
Now, how many leftards will celebrate the courage and leadership demeanor of Obama as he said "yeah, Admiral, I guess you can shoot them, but do you really hafta?"

Item #7: Let 'em All In, We've Got Plenty: The party of the Jackass is about to give away your job. Obama has quietly floated his new and improved Immigration Policy -- Tell everyone that you are going to give them amnesty, then expect that they WON'T come in massive droves.
Brilliant. Hey, all you folks with no more than a high school diploma -- move over 'cause you're going to be sharing your jobs with an assload of newcomers. For all you folks with more than a high school diploma, learn to speak Spanish so you can order at Mickey D's drive-through. You think I'm kidding - come visit me in Phoenix and I'll take you lemmings to a few local drive-throughs.
I very much respect the folks who came here to fend for their families; but there has to be an orderly way to immigrate workers. We are being overrun in Arizona and spending 3 Billion dollars a year on services. Guess what our projected state budget deficit is for 2010 -- 3 Billion dollars. Is the clown with the big ears going to send us 3 Billion dollars to cover his stupidity?

Ye Gads! Some of you may be thinking why politicize this event? There's an easy answer to that:

Our history with piracy is intertwined with politics. From Jean Lafitte to the Barbary pirates.

Two hundred years ago the Barbary pirates acted much like the current pirates and the American government had to figure out a solution.
At first, Congress authorized an $80,000 "tribute" (see: ransom), directing Thomas Jefferson and John Adams, to negotiate with the pirates.
Jefferson opposed the payments and knew that paying the "tribute "would entice more piracy.
Jefferson wrote to Adams,

"I acknolege [sic] I very early thought it would be best to effect a peace thro' the medium of war."

In 1801, after becoming President, Jefferson refused to pay the tribute, which actually did lead to war and bombardment of Tripoli.
Juxtapose this with Obama, who just went to Europe and basically gave away our sovereignty and who bowed to a monarch (something we swore never to do 233 years ago); a monarch who is the source of Wahhabi Islam - the most virulent strain of violent religiosity in the world.

So, while Obama is always willing to talk to our enemies, and even willing to tell our military commanders to shoot (but not ever be part of the military himself), it was Captain Phillips who actually took the action necessary to end this modern day encounter with Islamic pirates.

A man of action juxtaposed with a man of words...I really do wonder who the Captain voted for.

Sheriff Arpaio has single-handedly enforced the will of the people in Maricopa County, Arizona. In November 2006 Arizonans passed the Legal Arizona Workers Act. The act hands out stiff fines to employers who hire illegals.
In January 2008 the law went into effect. The Sheriff began sweeps to locate ILLEGAL workers and to have the state levy fines against the employers.

Now, Sheriff Joe is being investigated by Congress for "racial profiling". In other words, the Democrats in power are saying "leave our illegal voting base alone, even if they take away your job".

Back to Zoe: Zoe is the Chariman of the Judiciary Subcommittee on Immigration. Or, to speak plainly, she is the Obama Administration's Ooofficial Immigration Bitch for preparing the way for Obama's "Legalization of Illegals" Immigration plan. Zoe has chaired investigations about Joe and been the puppet of Obama's plan to get you to agree that Sheriff Joe is bad. You can call Zoe at (202) 224-3121. Just ask for the Congresswman who wants to let illegals steal your jobs...they'll know who you're talking about.

Guess who is running the Dept of Homeland Security now?
One of the Sheriff's biggest critics and a truly useless human being (I don't say that often and save it for the really nasty folks), and someone who left Arizona with a $3Billion deficit after her/his "leadership"...Janet "Nappy" Napolitano.
While governor, after the citizens of this state passed the Legal Arizona Works Act, Nappy's response was that "this will kill businesses". Clearly Nappy admitted that she viewed illegal workers, those who took American jobs, as a suitable work force for Arizona and useful for keeping our businesses viable.
Now, Nappy runs the umbrella organization responsible for immigration enforcement - DHS. This blog previously listed how Nappy has terrified professional law enforcers in ICE by threatening to FIRE career cops for doing their job. Does this pattern seem familiar? Ask Sheriff Joe, she took away funding from his agency after he started his sweeps.

Item #1: Oh Say Can You Pander...? While representing the entire United States on a trip to Europe, President Obama found himself falling back on the tired old rhetoric of his 1960's radical associates Bill Ayers and Saul Alinsky. Yep, seems he couldn't help but point at us and remark how we have treated Europe arrogantly, dismissively and even derisively.
Chhh-yeeeah... and your point is, you anti-American contrarian?
After having worn the uniform of this country for a quarter century, 25 years, more than half of Obama's entire life, let me clue is our historically inept Commander in Chief (without being too ethnocentric or derisive):
- Europe appeased Hitler when he was committing genocide on Jews, Catholics, Russians, homosexuals, etc. etc. ad nauseum...(umm this happened in Europe by the way)
- Europe stood by and watched Milosevic commit genocide against Kosovar Albanians and other populations in the southern reaches of the former Yugoslavia (umm this also happened in Europe by the way)
- Europe (particularly Fwance and Germany) continued to trade military hardware with Saddam Hussein even when UN sanctions prohibited this, using the "Oil for Fools" program as a cover.
- Much of Europe is still trading with the Holocaust deniers in Iran
Mr Obama, look around -- Europe deserves our derision -- except Italy. Italians are the only ones with nuts on that entire frickin' continent. As I tell my students; do a little research before opening your mouth and you will only seem half-stupid.

Item #2: How to Show the World You are an Inexperienced Boob: It's great to be an idealist; but not if you are in charge of large country. As a leader you have to be realistic and pragmatic.
And so, when BHO stated this week that he wants to rid the world of nuclear weapons, one has to wonder which world he's talking about. Is it the world where only the U.S. and the U.S.S.R. have nukes - oh, wait, that world no longer exists. Is it the world where there are no plans on the internet to build your own nuke? Oh wait, not there again. Is it the world where Islamic countries view it as a religious requirement to build a nuke? And you're going to stop them? Yeaaaahhhhh, riiiiiiiiiiight. The White House isn't the place for On the Job Training.


Item #3: Another Obama Diplomatic Failure: North Korea launched an ICBM over part of the land mass of our greatest ally in Southeast Asia. What did Obama do to stop it? Not a damn thing. Great job Skippy. And good luck on stopping nukes when you couldn't even North Korea's launch of the missile that will one day carry a nuke. In fact, I don't think you could stop a bottle rocket even if I gave you a fire hose. STEEEEEE-RIKE ONE!!!

Item #4: This Red Ink Isn't Inherited: The federal deficit for the first six months of FY2009 just hit $1 Trillion dollars. If you know any Obamatards who insist that their Savior inherited this level of debt, one need only direct them to this link from Reuters: Obama is Mortgaging Your Children. It was this year's porkulus and spendulus bills that are driving this deficit. Don't willingly be lied to.

Item #5: Change? You Mean the Change in Larry's Pocket? Let's see....what do you call a person who tells you they are going to run lobbyists and corrupt Wall Street raiders out of Washington and then hire tax cheats and those who use hedge funds to raid other people's money?
If you're a libtard, you call him "Mr. President".
Larry Summers, Obama's chief economic advisor took $5.2 million in compensation from hedge fund D.E. Shaw and Co. as well as hundreds of thousands in "speaking fees" from banks who RECEIVED BAILOUT MONEY OVER THE COURSE OF ONE YEAR!!!
And so, for all of you who whine about executive compensation, remember that at least executives have to run their company. Summers only had to "speak" in one year to earn more money than the average teacher will see in their lifetime.

Item #6: Running to the Useless Nincompoops: Seems that the Obama Doctrine (If you harbor terrorists we will talk with you sternly and then run to the United Nations Security Council) has realized yet ANOTHER failure. You see, after North Korea launched their missile on April 6th, the United Nations came together as a mighty force sternly determined to address this clear violation of UN Security Council Resolution 1718.
The omnipotent United Nations, the power behind the Obama Doctrine firmly decided -- to do NOTHING!

Item #7: Oops, Forgot the Scorecard for the Trip to Europe:
The President went to Europe with a smile on his face and an outstretched hand. He asked for only two things from his European "neighbors":
(1) just a little stimulus spending in their own economies, and
(2) some help to "finish the job in Afghanistan".
