Iraqi Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki ordered Shi'ite militiamen to surrender on Wednesday as a crackdown on followers of powerful cleric Moqtada al-Sadr spread across southern towns

The assault is a chance for his government to prove it can impose its will and allow American forces to withdraw.

Such a big Iraqi operation would have been impossible a year ago, showing how far Iraqi forces have come, said U.S. military spokesman Major-General Kevin Bergner: "These are Iraqi decisions, they are Iraqi government forces and these are Iraqi leaders implementing and directing these decisions."

But, numbers from ATF show that between 1993 and last year, the number of AK-47s (that's an assault rifle for all the Leftards out there) increased by 749 PERCENT!!!
The ATF explains some of the increase thusly:

ATF says the increases in the first half of the 1990s are partly the result of wider usage of its weapons database by local law enforcement agencies. But after that point, the numbers reflect a real increase in tracings of AK-type guns, the agency acknowledged.

But the ATF shows only an 11 percent increase in these weapons since 2005, the year after the ban expired. Hence, the remaining 670 percent must have occurred DURING THE BAN.

A recent research effort out of Harvard shows that Moonbat criticism of the Iraq War has contributed to the deaths of US servicemembers.

Here is the Abstract:

Are insurgents affected by information on US casualty sensitivity? Using data on attacks and variation in access to international news across Iraqi provinces, we identify an “emboldenment” effect by comparing the rate of insurgent attacks in areas with higher and lower access to information about U.S news after public statements critical of the war. We find in periods after a spike in war-critical statements, insurgent attacks increases by 5-10 percent. The results suggest that insurgent groups respond rationally to expected probability of US withdrawal. As such counterinsurgency should consider deterrence and incapacitation rather than simply search and destroy missions.

So basically this report says that Liberals have contributed to the deaths of military service members because they don't possess the common sense God gave a screwdriver.
While they continue to claim it is their right to bitch, (to which I would agree) they do not take into consideration the impact their statements have on our troops (which is why they should refrain).

War is not a game. While leftards attend protests as if they were social events, where they mindlessly regurgitate their confusion and inability to comprehend this war effort, our troops have more to lose.
This exact same lack of common sense was displayed by Jane Fonda, John Kerry and other imbeciles during Vietnam. However the libtard penchant for running away is not limited to Iraq or Vietnam. The study also recorded the anecdotal impact on other wars -- one footnote citing Theodore Roosevelt's response to whining crybabies.

Big business funded the Women's Movement of the 1960's!!!

In the 1960's Corporate America was looking for a long-term method to raise their profits. They were already selling products all over the globe, but that wasn't enough to satisfy their unquenchable greed

General Electric, Westinghouse, and Alcoa met and planned what was called the "Pittsburgh Experiment". The corporate giants charted a way to make themselves more profitable on the backs of the workers by having women demand equal access to the workplace.
How did this help? The corporations knew that they could pay less for labor overseas but didn't want Americans complaining about the lower income they would receive as jobs moved to other countries. To preclude complaints, they had women enter the workplace and begin to supplement the income of men. Since families would still be able to buy the same things (by having both parents work), corporations rightly assumed that most of the proletariat would not notice the difference, and therefore, not complain.

They triggered the Pittsburgh Experiment in the late 1970's by importing Japanese steel. Unemployment rose to 25% in that city. The second steel town, Cleveland, OH was next. Cleveland's unemployment reached historic levels.

To further divert attention from their plan, the three evil corporations created a football rivalry between those two towns, hoping they would compete toward being the first city to recover from the Experiment. Neither city wanted to be the "poor little brother" of the other, even though both cities had much in common. The Triumvirate of Deceit had played their hand well. Even today you can hear Hugh Hewitt, a Cleveland native, denigrate people from Pittsburgh by prompting "for the Pittsburgh Steeler fans..." whenever he resorts to simplistic explanations of topics.

Women played their parts - supplementing income and creating a situation where men had to become more involved in the day-to-day operations of the household. Men are distracted, women empowered, and the corporations laughed. Today a $400 million pension for these corporate theives is commonplace.

...of my former fellow military brothers and sisters have been killed in Iraq, and no doubt some Contrarians will try to use their blood for political gain.

I warn Liberals not to do so...our troops are politically limited in how they can speak back to you and so you would only be taking advantage of the troops. Don't feign concern for our troops only so you can turn around and exploit them for your political purposes. You have done that long enough and you've never earned that right. If you want to complain about the war, do it without mentioning casualties of those with whom you never served and rarely agreed. And if you still can't figure out why we're in Iraq, you should start HERE.

As for me -- I honor the courage of the troops fighting to exterminate the vermin in Iraq -- driving the extremist rats into extinction. I especially look at those who signed up after this war began, but I honor all. The choices to join and reenlist in massive numbers occurs within the ranks of those who really know what is happening in Iraq. Compare that to air-headed bimbos like Medea Benjamin who think freedom is lost when Starbucks runs out of soy milk and she has to settle for skim on her way to a Code Pinko protest.

I reject these bloviating morons who have never served. But, can these simpering fools find former service members to speak against the war -- sure -- however that is not the majority, or even a strong minority. In every walk of life you have 20% of your people who do 80% of the work and 20% of the people who do 80% of the bitching (see Pareto Principle). Code Pinko and their political ilk rely on the latter 20 percenters.

To really put this number (4,000) into perspective, we must look to history - which is, tautologically, history's only purpose. And since we have been fighting for 5 years, let's compare this to another war that the Dhimmicrats like to cite - Vietnam.

Point 1: The Iraq War averages 800 deaths per year (do the math 4000/5 = 800), so how many did we lose during 5 years of Vietnam warfare? Here are the numbers:

Point 2: For another parallel between Vietnam and Iraq, let's look at Libtard Logic. Liberals claimed that Vietnam was being fought for imperialism, corporations, and other bogeyman of the Lefties. President Kennedy and others claimed the fight was to prevent the Domino Theory from being realized. Would communism spread in Southeast Asia if left unchecked? More in a moment...

Mooonbats claim Iraq is being fought for imperialism, big oil, and Halliburton. President Bush claims he is trying to stop the spread of Islamic Fascism. Will Islamo-Nazism spread if left unchecked in Iraq?

In the case of Vietnam, was the Domino Theory hypothesis true? Let's look back at what we learned after the Vietnam War --

We certainly prevented Communist expansion in Southeast Asia simply through our show of force.

The question is now, can we stop Islamic Radicalism by showing that we will punish anyone who participates or harbors terrorists?
The answer - we already have. Libya was the first to give up its weapons programs (programs we didn't even know existed), thanks to this action.

We also reduced the spread of Al Qaeda terrorism in the region by killing them in Iraq. They came to us to fight in Iraq and reduced their own manpower and capabilities to fight elsewhere.

Since they were already on the Afghanistan/Pakistan border, the war in Iraq had no effect either way on that area. What you may not have known is that we had bases in Pakistan until 2003. Most of the jihadists now in Guantanamo flew through Pakistan to get there. Musharraf began feeling the heat from his own people and we had to leave. That limited our ability to strike within Pakistan and so the war in Iraq had no impact on hunting Al Qaeda in the border region. Politics in Pakistan was the greater Limiting Factor in hunting bin Laden, not Iraq.

Yes, war is bad. But it would be worse having to go back into Iraq or Yemen or Oman or Qatar or the Emirates.... It's time to kill the radicals now (I mean the ones in Iraq, not Washington DC) and demonstrate that we will not let this vermin rise again.

Apparently Obama convinced Richardson that to be his friend, he must follow the decree of the Obamessiah and betray Klinton (I can hear Obama now "Yes you can, Bill"). So, Richardson basically told Hillary to bend over and take it like a man (does that sound too gay), while he seeks his own personal glorification as Obama's Vice President.

Has Obama announced Richardson as his running mate -- not yet -- but it's likely to come. And that possibility is all that it takes to get a Democrat to change loyalties -- a chance for self-promotion and power.

So Mrs. Clinton, while you're crying in your Wheaties today, it shouldn't surprise you that someone named Bill betrayed someone named Hillary.

Dems rail at Bush about the lack of WMDs in Iraq, but we know that Saddam broadcast to anyone who would listen that he had them.

"Link: For him, it was critical that he was seen as still the strong, defiant Saddam".

During the post-capture debriefing of Saddam, he admitted his efforts to convince Iran (and therefore The World) that he had WMDs to keep Iran at bay. Saddam simply did not believe the US would invade, (because the previous President was a puss), and so he kept up the pretense. Even the UN believed Saddam had WMDs.

So, if Saddam is admitting to having WMDs while we're threatening to invade for that very reason, why should we not believe him? Forget all the intelligence services who claimed Saddam had weapons; Saddam himself told us he did. Was Bush expected to diagnose him as a suicidal liar? Give me a break.

Exhibit B:
Saddam admitted he wanted to reconstitute his WMD programs as soon as he broke the sanctions.

Thanks to the corruption in the UN, the Oil for Food program was destabilizing the sanctions against Saddam. He knew it was just a matter of time until he would (admittedly) work on rebuilding his programs. Way to go Useless Nincompoops.

This quote from GW Bush is hard for libtards to understand. Perhaps they would have understood had Bush said it with feewings:

Bush clearly tells the public there was no tie between Saddam and 9/11, but Saddam did have ties to Al-Qaeda.

The District of Columbia wants the Supreme Court to uphold their ban on owning handguns. Additionally, they want the Supremes to validate their laws that even require rifles and shotguns IN YOUR HOME to be unloaded.

According to the FBI's Uniform Crime Report the "murder" rate for the US is 5.7 per 100,000; the "murder" rate for Washington, D.C. is 29.06 per 100,000.

Ummm...how's that gun ban working for ya', you fascist liberal douche bags? Or more importantly, how's it working for your citizens? While bodyguards of public officials can carry concealed weapons to protect your dumb asses, your people are getting slaughtered.

Our military service people are the greatest in the world and it was a privilege and a pleasure to be counted among them for a short time.
In only three weeks those great young troops beat Saddam's army.

Unfortunately the political appointees sent to rebuild had never before done so. I was once criticized on Texas Fred's blog for saying the insurgency was an outcropping of our policy of creating unemployed males in Iraq by firing the army and the Baathists. This was not a guess, it was from my knowledge of war planning and peacekeeping. Now, my observation has been validated by many other observers LINK 1 LINK 2. Have you figured it out yet, Fred? Or do you need more links?

Had we allowed military war planners to run the reconstruction of Iraq there would not have been an insurgency; our military is just - that - damn - good.

On the other hand, the spoiled classes, the bored, the embarrassments of this generation stand on the sidelines and complain. These people aren't fighting the war, they're only watching it on TV. Somehow they believe their voice is as important as that of the Soldier, Sailor, Airman, or Marine...I have some bad news for them.

While they do have a right to bitch, moan, groan, whine and complain (to borrow a military phrase), they are not invested in this war, there is no draft to pull them into this battle, and their collective opinion means spit on battlefields where REAL work is being accomplished. All in all, these assclowns are simply bitchy little mensches who will contribute nothing to this world even close to approximating the contributions of the troops.

So...HUA to the Army, AIRPOWER to the Air Force and Semper Fi to our Marines and Navy...

Margaret Sanger was born in 1883 and had a vision...an idyllic renaissance of society through the use of abortion and birth control.

For that reason Sanger founded what is now Planned Parenthood. Recently Planned Parenthood demonstrated dedication to the vision of Sanger when they were contacted by a group of students from UCLA pretending to be donors. Here's a transcript:

Fox News Sunday - March 16, 2008

This morning's roundup of news shows features Senator Christopher Dodd on Fox News Sunday.

Dodd must be pimping himself as Vice-Presidential attack dog material as he trotted out the DumbasCraps' talking points for this week. He tried to blame Bush for TWO recessions (2001 and 2008) while simultaneously deflecting Obama's problems with Rev Jeremiah Wright.

First of all, a recession is two consecutive QUARTERS of real negative economic growth -- we've had a couple of months. Do you think we will eventually have two consecutive quarters of problems - very likely we will. At that point the FACTS will harness BUSH with a recession rather than just Dodd's 'feewings'.

Secondly, this will be BUSH's first recession. The recession of 2001 was already in bloom when Bush took office in January 2001 (as outlined here). Bush didn't pass his first budget until several months later, so Dodd should mention the Klinton Klan as the authors of the 2001 recession (but that would potentially put him out of favor as Klinton's running mate.)

Dodd clearly believes we are idiots who buy into his redefinition of how our market operates. Actually, let me rephrase that... Dodd quite obviously believes that normal rank-and-file Democrats are unsophisticated idiots who will automatically blame Bush for anything Dodd leads them to believe. Baaaaaaaa.....

Once Again -- Liberals' Collective Short Attention Span Strikes

Have you heard the one about there not being any operational connection between Saddam and Al Qaeda....

Have you actually read the document and not the liberal media reports?

If you haven't read the document, but instead believed the media, you probably dine on a continuous supply of grass and get sheared once a year for your wool. We also eat your children with mint jelly ... you trackin' yet...yes, you may be a SHEEPLE.

Here's the actual executive summary from the report: (Please tell me how the lib media missed this)

Captured Iraqi documents have uncovered evidence that links the regime of Saddam Hussein to regional and global terrorism, including a variety of revolutionary, liberation, nationalist and Islamic terrorist organizations. While these documents do not reveal direct coordination and assistance between the Saddam regime and the al Qaeda network, they do indicate that Saddam was willing to use, albeit cautiously, operatives affiliated with al Qaeda as long as Saddam could have these terrorist-operatives monitored closely. Because Saddam's security organizations and Osama bin Laden's terrorist network operated with similar aims (at least in the short term), considerable overlap was inevitable when monitoring, contacting, financing, and training the same outside groups. This created both the appearance of and, in some way, a "de facto" link between the organizations. At times, these organizations would work together in pursuit of shared goals but still maintain their autonomy and independence because of innate caution and mutual distrust. Though the execution of Iraqi terror plots was not always successful, evidence shows that Saddam’s use of terrorist tactics and his support for terrorist groups remained strong up until the collapse of the regime. At work I often "discuss" my former life in terrorist intelligence and force protection for the military. I've told one co-worker about Saddam's links to Al-Qaeda, and how we in the military knew about preliminary links as far back as 1998...but this person really couldn't/wouldn't grasp it fully. This information doesn't fit their personal meta-narrative about Bush and Cheney. A meta-narrative learned at the feet of Randi Rhodes and other vapid BDS sufferers.

Why was this not big news back in 1998 when Klinton was in office? Simply because 9/11 had not yet happened. If you had printed a news story that Saddam was cavorting with Al-Qaeda terrorists, everybody would have looked at that reporter and said "Yeah, no shit Sherlock." Today, if you say the same thing, the libtards gnash their teeth, rend their clothes, pull their hair, and run around in circles screaming "Bush lied to us, Bush lied to us!!" Then they pretend to have the "vapors".

Recently a friend at work announced (with glee) a forthcoming trip to listen to Ray McGovern. Do you know who he is?

Ray McGovern is a former CIA agent who sits on his arse trying to second-guess and deny facts (I and many others) provided the intelligence system in 1998. The problem is, McGovern retired from the CIA in 1990, while I was gathering intelligence in 1998, so his info and rebuttals are a bit dated - to say the least.

While I was tracking the spread of radical Islam in Europe and northern Africa, McGovern was long retired from his paper-pushing, piss boy job shuffling PDBs at the CIA. Yet, the Loonie Left will listen to this feckless, long out of the loop moron as if he was the someone with inside knowledge.

These same people will continue to refute the report above, even though they were told about these links long before this report was released. At what point will they begin to listen to facts rather than their own internal, skewed feewings?

You may or may not know how absolutely frustrating it is to watch others willingly blind themselves to the truth as an attempt to protect their egos. They simply will not admit when they are wrong, even when facing overwhelming evidence from people who were there, and now, a report validating those observations.

So, to all those folks, have fun listening to people like Ray McGovern-- people who were not active agents during the time that these world-changing events were occurring. You choose to be led by the blind -- so be it.

The libs have been PWNED again, but the lib media is protecting their fragile psyches by lying to the public. They actually gamble that the attention span of liberals will be so short they won't attempt to read a 93-page report. They are correct; the lib media knows their audience.

The Clinton's have been using race to beat down a black man throughout this campaign. This is the politics of the Left at its most honest and exposed. Closet racists are a hoot. (Quite progressive, ain't they?)

Prejudice and bias are often based on competition for resources. In this case the competition is for the highest office in the land.
The Clintons desperately want to get back into the White House so they can tear all of the "W" keys off of the computer keyboards again -- (children dressed up as adults in the White House -- again -- I can't wait).

The Clintons and their surrogates (Ferraro, Rendell, et al) are no better than the disenfranchised Southern plantation owners who couldn't compete with newly freed black slaves. The slaves knew how to work the land better than the plantation owners -- they had to do it as slaves after all. The former "masters" now had to negotiate labor agreements with their former slaves. If the slaves didn't want to work for the former slave owners, the viability of a Southern plantation was at risk.

Up rose the Ku Klux Klan to beat down the "uppity" blacks. Klinton is more of the same. This should not be surprising.

Bill Klinton's hero, J. William Fulbright, opposed racial integration in the South and even signed the Southern Manifesto. The manifesto was written in response to the Supreme Court's 1954 ruling Brown v. Board of Education, which integrated public schools.

The Democrat Party successfully re-enslaved minorities and the poor in the 1960's with the socialist stupidity of the Great Society programs. Liberals will claim they saved Blacks, Latinos and poor Whites from poverty using the Great Society programs -- instead they created a narcotic allure of never having to work or strive to survive. They punished them for keeping families together...but before I go too far into that history, realize that today's Democrats believe Blacks OWE them. The Dems think they did the poor a favor by creating a reliance on the government. And if one "uppity" Black is going to stand up against them, they will fight back by painting that Black as inferior and unready.

Barak Obama would do better as a Republican, where he would be recognized for his achievement, not vilified as an unappreciative lackey.

SPECIAL REPORT: Democrats in Crisis

The Democrat Party is refusing to seat the delegates from the Michigan and Florida primaries.

Commissar Howard Dean, potentate of the Dem Party, (and who looks a lot like Randall Flagg) stated this morning that Florida and Michigan cannot be rewarded for breaking the rules. Dean remarked

"You just can't go changing years of tradition to suit your own beliefs. Yeah, we're progressives, but not that progressive. I mean really, do you think that you can pick and choose your values like you're in a cafeteria? YEeeaaargh, man, what do youz guys think this is?"

When challenged by Florida's youngest Superdelegate, der Commissar explained that the state of Florida's opinion doesn't count. Democrats believe in a strong central government -- just like the old Soviet Union. But the Superdelegate excoriated Dean, calling him a fascist and accused him of lacking concern for the common man.
Dean responded by saying "Yeah, so?" and then threw a right hook to the prodigy's temple....

The Democrats' problems in Michigan and Florida are a perfect analogy for why Democrats can't govern. Their tired old values, traits, philosophy, and tactics are so insipidly uninspired.

1. First, Florida and Michigan refused to listen to those in authority and held their primary outside of their permitted time.
(Liberal Values Exhibited: You're not the boss of me now)

2. The National Dem Party couldn't see that this would cause a problem in the future and chose to use only punitive actions to address the problem. This validates their view of a strong central government that punishes states and citizens.
(Liberal Trait Exhibited: Short sightedness -- similar to the plan for running away from Iraq and believing Al Qaeda won't claim victory.)
(Liberal Philosophy Exhibited: The Central government is always right [because we're smart] and you're always wrong [because you are children] -- now send us your money and shut up.)

3. Florida and Michigan whine because they are being "disenfranchised" -- even though they are the ones that caused this problem to begin with. Florida Dem party leader Karen Thurman has scheduled appearances on The Daily Show (because Democrats think it's a real news show) . Liberal amounts of crying and whining are expected (no pun intended).
(Liberal Tactic Exhibited: If you don't get your way, claim you are a victim of some great injustice [i.e. Vast Right Wing Conspiracy])

Liberals love to believe that their ideas are new and fresh -- instead they use the same old juvenile anarchic mantras used for millenia by those who simply think they're better than everyone else. In the 1960's is was "sex, drugs, and rock & roll", or "tune in - turn on - drop out."
Their predictable counter culture mentality has come back to bite Florida and Michigan in the ass -- let's see how their "regressive" thinking can salvage this predicament...
