They Don't Teach Geography at Harvard (Obviously)

The Messiah traveled to Afghanistan and declared, with the Heavenly Host at his back that...

"We're in Afghanistan because this is the central front in the war on terrorism."

Unfortunately for the Messiah, the Heavenly Host was comprised of Senators Jack Reed (D-RI) and Chuck Hagel (Rino-NE), and neither one found the internet in Afghanistan. If they had access to the internet, they could have found the following information helpful:

Al Qaeda is operating in the Federally Administered Tribal Areas of PAKISTAN. Pakistan is to the east of Afghanistan. You might remember AFGHANISTAN; that' where we already kicked the crap out of Al Qaeda and the Taliban.

Here are a few more stats to help you out:

Number of Terrorists Killed in Iraq: 20,000+
Number of Terrorists Killed in Afghanistan: 3,700+
Number of Terrorists Killed in Pakistan: ? Not Many By U.S.

The reason we haven't killed many terrorists in Pakistan is because it is an ally on the War on Terror.
Certainly we could do better than Pakistan as an ally. In fact, Al Qaeda and the Taliban have even negotiated peace treaties with Pakistan to allow them to operate there (see: Waziristan Accords).

So, Mr. MESSiah, when you say Afghanistan is the central front in the war on terrorism... ummm...what part of Afghanistan were you talking about? Does your omniscience detect some hidden part of Afghanistan being run by Al Qaeda?

Or perhaps you weren't paying attention in Geography class and are confusing Afghanistan and Pakistan. You did take a Geography class didn't you?

Also, last month I stated that crude prices would drop to $55 a barrel if we collectively (the President and Congress) announced we would drill for oil immediately.

-- It was only the President who stood up and lifted the Executive Order banning OCS drilling and the price of crude fell 11 percent. It fell, even though the dollar still lost ground. Since oil is traded using dollars, in real economic terms, oil fell farther than 11 percent.

Coincidence? Hmmm....

I heard Glenn Beck say something today that spurred me to conduct some research.

The other day the federal gummint decided to save Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac.

Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac are hybrids of the free market and the federal gummint. Fannie was established during the Depression to ensure mortgage money was available for lenders. It was converted to a public company in 1968, but still regulated and backed by the gummint. Freddie was created by Congress in 1970 for the same reason. Now to get to the point...

They say the Enron scandal cost investors $60 Billion dollars. The Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac rescue by the federal government is going to help cover $1.5 TRILLION dollars in losses. That is 25 times the losses of Enron.

The problems with Fannie and Freddie didn't appear overnight. In fact, in 2004, due to "significant accounting problems" Congress began requiring them to hold 30% more cash than previously required.

Hmmm...2004...why is that important.
Maybe because from 1998 to 2003, Jamie Gorelick, Clinton's deputy Attorney General, was the vice chair of Fannie Mae.
You remember Jamie Gorelick, don't you? Ms Gorelick was the deputy Attorney General who built "the wall" between the FBI and CIA that prevented them from sharing information on the 9/11 hijackers. Here is one agent's response...

"At that time, a frustrated FBI investigator wrote headquarters, quote, 'Whatever has happened to this--someday someone will die--and wall or not--the public will not understand why we were not more effective and throwing every resource we had at certain 'problems.' "

Gorelick, the feckless REMF, impeded our capabilities in fighting terrorism in March 1995, then after doing her damage there, she took over Fannie Mae in 1998 and ran it into the ground. All the while, Ms Gorelick was paid 26 MILLION DOLLARS. Some of her bonus money was obtained when Fannie Mae represented itself as more profitable than it really was -- in other words, the "significant accounting problems".

Gorelick, you might remember, also sat on the "911 Commission". How convenient. She, like most liberals, deflected her part in 9-11 away from herself and onto Bush during those hearings.

I'll bet the FBI agent quoted above was PISSED OFF!! I know I am.

Everything Gorelick touches turns to shit.. so I only have one question?

How does she get away with this? I'm going to write my congressman and ask him to investigate her role in destabilizing Fannie Mae.

POLL: Forty-Seven Percent of Americans Too Stupid to Vote

A recent Newsweek poll asked this question to registered voters:

"Some people say that since Barack Obama became the presumed Democratic nominee for president, he has changed his position on key policy issues to try to gain political advantage. Do you agree or disagree?" (LINK Page 5)

Only 53% agreed with this statement. Thirty-two percent disagreed and fifteen percent simply looked up at the pollster and said "huh?", as drool spilled down the front of their shirts.

So 47% could not see the flip flops on FISA (amnesty for telecoms), troop withdrawal time lines, the Washington DC gun ban, etc. etc. etc... ad nauseum...


I only have ONE poll question -- was this poll conducted exclusively in Los Angeles or New York? Either way, we should seriously consider a Constitutional Amendment to strip that 47% of their right to vote.

Here is my proposal for the 28th Amendment:

Seems that the Contrarian desire to bitch about everything may have caused the collapse of IndyMac Bank.

The Office of Thrift Supervision is blaming Senator Chucky Schumer for the failure of IndyMac Bank. Apparently a letter by Schumer questioning IndyMac's viability was followed by depositors withdrawing $1.3 billion dollars from the bank.

The self-fulfilling prophecy is an off shoot of the Thomas Theorem...

"If men define situations as real, they are real in their consequences"

Schumer, being a member of the Senate Banking Committee, and part of the Democratic "we love to regulate" Party, was in the absolutely worst position to express such negative opinions. Compounding the current mortgage and banking crisis is not the best and smartest thing a "leader" can do..

Besides, he should be out looking for his Weiner.

Congress' Brand New Sweater

San Francisco Congresswoman Jackie Speier (D-CA) introduced her first piece of legislation the other day. She offered the The Gasoline Savings and Speed Limit Reduction Act.

Yes, that's right, Congress has been talking about reducing the national speed limit to 55 mph. This effort is ostensibly to save you some gasoline costs. But, what about your time?

America is a large, diverse country. In crowded East Coast cities a 55 mph speed limit might be workable, but in the Western United States and rural areas, 55 mph is a waste of our time. In an increasingly busy world, how much time is Congress willing to steal from us?

Speier's idea is the "Carter Sweater" reborn. When faced with an energy crisis, instead of drilling for new capacity, Jimmy Carter told us to lower our thermostats and put on a sweater. The Carter Sweater is an analog for those who do not possess American innovation, and worse, possess an external locus of control. Those with an external locus of control believe circumstances form their reality rather than having to take charge and form the world the way they want it to be.

To avoid personal angst and frustration an internal locus of control...

"needs to be matched by competence, self-efficacy and opportunity so that the person is able to successfully experience the sense of personal control and responsibility"

Coincidence? I think not. I believe the market saw the Dem takeover of Congress as a suppression of potential new oil sources and hostile to many other viable fuels, in general. Without coal, nuclear, oil, or other currently available technologies there was only one direction for the price of oil.

We Need Much More of This

Beverly Farm is about 12 miles from Gloucester, Massachusetts.

You remember Gloucester. That's the place where 17 teenagers from the same high school decided that getting "preggers" was a great idea.

Now their neighbors, in an annual "Horribles" 4th of July parade, made fun of them using shimmying dancers dressed up as pregnant women and men in diapers crawling out from under a paper mache woman in birthing stirrups.
Some of the writing on the floats is a bit "unrefined", but accurate.

However, the Parade of Horribles is an annual event in New England, marked by grotesque displays. You never know what you might see there.

McCain railed against the Bush Administration for mismanaging the war in Iraq.

He wanted a surge of forces into the region to wipe out the terrorists.

It's working. But you won't see it in the American media (well maybe Fox News since they're the only ones to present both sides of an argument).

Nature's Laws

As we decide for whom we will vote we simultaneously decide which direction we want our country to take.

Democrats will tell you that McCain represents Bush's third term, even while the left side of their brain tells them that isn't true -- just another slogan.

What IS true is that the California Supreme Court has approved gay marriage in one of our most populous states. This is just another product of libturds pushing for their own personal brand of licentious freedoms. What is it about gays marrying that liberals view as normal, natural, and in need of protection?

Marriage is essentially a social construct established to protect children that are the product of two people. Especially today, two people don't need this construct to pledge their love. As a matter of fact, during the 1960's the counter-culture liberals denigrated marriage as unnecessary traditionalism. Today we see the breakdown of moral boundaries, the rise of single motherhood, and more children in poverty as a result. Now liberals want us to recognize their artificial form of something they once rejected; an artifice that cannot replicate nature's intent of procreation -- the reason we were made (or evolved) as two genders.

My feelings regarding children in marriage extend also to heterosexual couples who pledge never to have children and actively strive against it. And to those heterosexuals who would choose to engage exclusively in oral or anal sex (if there are any -- which I completely doubt but cannot prove). I would ask them, why get married -- simply to have a legal contract to bind you together? In our already litigious society do we really need a contract to express love?

Homosexuals, by definition, cannot naturally have children. In fact, they must amplify and distort nature to reach that goal. Take the pregnant man for instance (LINK).

First she was a woman, but then she wanted to be a man, so then he wanted to do what only women can do and become pregnant....does anyone else see anything wrong with this picture?
Liberals bitch about how we corrode and distort nature with our man-made pollutants, but don't we also pollute the nature of Mankind by warping one of the basic functions of humans?

Marriage protects children by ensuring they are provided for economically and that they have social models to emulate. Men and woman approach relationships and child-rearing in different ways; complementary ways. Men and men or women and women do not provide complementary roles and the few studies we have, show negative outcomes for children raised in homosexual households, particularly girls raised in lesbian relationships. Sexual identity confusion and even attempts to seduce the young girls by lesbian acquaintances of the "partners" has been repeatedly recorded.

So, why do homosexuals need marriage? Do they feel they need a contract with the government to declare their love? Is that what homosexual love is about - a contract?
Do they believe their union or behavior is as valuable to society as a normal marriage? This is certainly not true for young girls in lesbian arrangements. Similarly, this was not true for the Catholic Church after liberalizing entry into the clergy in the 1970's. As mentioned in previous posts, an overwhelming number of priest scandals were of the homosexual variety.
Perhaps homosexuals have a need to put their relationship "in your face" -- is that the motivation?

Liberals complain that traditional beliefs are outdated and we need to move forward. Love is all that counts. Liberals ask us why we stop them from expressing their love. I would ask them, what if two brothers want to marry, what do we do? Is that acceptable? Is it really just about love? Certainly there can be no tradition-based prohibition against relatives marrying since inbreeding (the reason for some marriage laws) is not possible in homosexual marriages.

In September 2005 the Netherlands permitted a civil union between three people. Is that where we want to go?

The late senator Daniel Patrick Moynihan (D-NY) was a scholar in the field of sociology. Even though he served one of the most liberal states in the Union, Moynihan understood that counter-cultural pressures from the 1960's led to a "dumbing down of deviance".
In November we have an opportunity to voice our disapproval against deviance imposed by a few judges and applauded by Nancy Pelosi and her crew...

Celebrate Independence

The flag is the symbol of our country and provides a common icon for all Americans to view as a representation of American ideals.

And, on this blog, we try to help outline the differences between two ideologies that have both embraced the idea of "America".

Conservatives view America as the ultimate ideal of self-governance. They look at who we are, what we've achieved, where we are today. Conservatives look at America as one large family of people striving, like any family, to make the best out of life even if we don't agree with our government. Each family member has their own interests, but they still come together to help one another as individuals. They work for change from the inside out.

Liberals view America as an unfinished portrait. They use dissent to try to "improve" America because they believe that the Founding Fathers used dissent against their government. However, the Founders were dissenting against tyranny, not just government; and I think this is where liberals get lost. While the Founders eschewed big government, liberals from as far back as T.H.Greene and Jane Addams believe that government should be the answer to all of our problems. Liberal dissent is aimed at making things "even" for everyone.
In a sense, a strong sense, liberals are the spoiled children of the American family. "Momma. Timmy has more pudding than me!", might be a common cry heard by both the spoiled child and the liberal. Have you ever seen a family where one child was the "dissenter", one who also tries to run the house?

While conservatives celebrate basic human values that have withstood the test of time and human nature from our earliest civilizations, values that have led to our successes; liberals try to install "dead end" values such as "pay for no work" welfare, moral relativism, and gay marriage (a value that has never been accepted by any civilized ideology).

On this Fourth of July it is important to understand the struggle caused by the spoiled child and the damage that self-serving dissent does to a family.

I Have Stopped Using the Word "Libtard"

I realized that I have been somewhat condescending to a group of people who are really just trying to "get by".
They don't really hurt anyone and, though they think differently than many of us, there is no reason to disparage them. The word association I have used may be hurtful to them and therefore I have decided to stop using the term "libtard"

It just isn't right to pick on people who cannot help themselves.

And so, I have written a letter to ARC (formerly the Association for Retarded Citizens) and apologized for lumping them together with liberals. Associating the suffix "tard" with "liberal" may be hurtful to the folks at ARC.

From now on liberals will be called: ass clowns, morons, imbeciles, self-important egomaniacs, jackasses, jag-offs, selfish bastards, baby-murderers, socialist scum, pedophiles, Satanists...etc.

But never again "Libtards".

Wesley Clark stated that McCain's service didn't prepare him to be President.

Does military service prepare you to be President?
Yes, it certainly does. Employers around the country recognize that veterans have undergone professional leadership training that rivals that of top corporate executives. The President is the Chief Executive of the country, and so this training certainly does help. What kind of training has Obama had? Community organizer? Again...huh?

Why is it not permissible for Wesley Clark to attack John McCain, but it WAS okay for vets to attack John Kerry?

Yes, according to the Left Obama will be a ChickenHawk because we all know (though Dems are in denial), that Obama will not withdraw troops from Iraq. But, if he does, he will have to redeploy them to kill Al-Qaeda. So, in keeping with Leftard standards of incivility, Obama will be defined by their own words as a ChickenHawk during that redeployment.

Gasoline prices reached an all-time high this year, and costs for food and other basic necessities are rising drastically. As millions of Americans struggle under this increasing burden, oil companies continue to report massive, record-breaking profits - $123 billion last year alone. This is unacceptable, and I want to assure you that I am working hard to lower prices and protect Americans from price gouging.
I am proud to be an original co-sponsor of S.3044, the Consumer-First Energy Act of 2008. This important bill would impose a windfall profits tax on oil companies to discourage price gouging and to help consumers offset the high costs of energy products, punish any country or company colluding in setting the price of oil, and limit excessive speculation in oil markets.
S.3044 also includes a provision that is similar to legislation I authored that would require the Federal Trade Commission to investigate possible manipulation of gasoline prices any time prices rise rapidly.
Unfortunately, on June 10, 2008, the Senate minority blocked further consideration of S.3044. At a time when so many Americans are struggling to make ends meet and having to make the impossible choice between buying food for their families and filling up the gas tank, I am deeply disturbed that some of my colleagues prevented this important bill from moving forward.
Opening up drilling in the United States is not the best way to achieve lower gas prices. For example, drilling in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge (ANWR) would provide us with six months of oil at most, and at great cost. Furthermore, it would be more than a decade before we saw any of that oil. Ultimately, we need to move away from our dependence on oil and gasoline by developing renewable and efficient energy technologies. Right now, we need to go after the big oil companies that are holding Americans hostage with their exorbitantly high prices.
Americans deserve better than oil companies that gouge consumers in order to make huge profits, and Congress needs to take action to help alleviate this crisis. Rest assured, I will continue working for the passage of S.3044, and I will keep fighting to help Americans enjoy fair and reasonable energy prices.

On the top of the left panel I've added the Obama Oil Flip Flop Count Up Clock™.
Obama has exceeded my 10 day prediction and is yet to flip on this issue, but I feel it is coming...so I'm keeping the clock running.

The American people are in overwhelming support of drilling for new sources of oil.
Obama is dead-set against oil exploration. In fact, he doesn't even care that oil costs so much,

Not only is he out of touch with working class Americans, he is truly the dumbest man in the Presidential race, and has been for some time.

Speaking of time, it's only a matter of time before Obama Obamifecates and leads the Sheeple to believe that he was actually FOR oil drilling all along.
